Johnny Marr is at very least a demiGod. I even dabbled in the post Smiths Electronica before finally jumping ship, but there's no denying his magical synergy with Smiths frontman ecclectic asexual Morrissey.

And believe it or not they were only together for 5 years. 5!!

I don't even mind they were pretty much the last nail in the coffin of synth driven new wave. I do, however, kinda mind that they turned down a record deal with legendary Factory Records to sign with Rough Trade. Anyhoo...


One of the best jams from the early Smiths. This recording is from the John Peel show and maintains an awesome live 'push' to it. Twas also released on Hatful of Hollow…one of my faves fo sho.

Gwen Stafanie sux like few do. Something about her irks me. Hey baby hey baby i also hated no doubt, no doubt. And all this isn't only because she butchered one of my favourite Talk Talk songs from the 80s. The other day i mentioned this song and a good friend thought Gwen Stefani wrote it.
