Is it just me, or are tracks these days getting shorter and shorter?
Music is about to go nano on us and dissapear.
Technology is getting smaller and smaller, disappearing.
What a conundrum.
Good thing the Mayans warned us. :)
To offset this trend, i have chosen to post only tracks that are 10+ minutes.
The first is local prodigy Konrad Black.
This was a favourite of mine before i ever met Todd.
His early remixes (under the headgear name) of Swayzak are criminally good.
And all this many moons before all these punters were up on the minimal bandwagon.
Swayzak ft Kirsty Hawkshaw STATE OF DISGRACE (Headgear Remix)
To be honest, I don't really get minimal these days.
It doesn't make me wanna dance as much as other stuff.
But that's another rant for another day....
Next a hippy jam to make you smile while you're taking a dump during your lame opening slot.
Neu! HALLOGALLO
This one is good trance.
You never hear those 2 words together anymore.
But see what i did right there?
Huh?
Geddez vs Audiofly presents Rekleinder SOMEWHERE (Sasse Remix)
This blog has become my own online Lawrence Welk show.
Let's carry on…Genesis.
Phil Collins.
Pink Floydd wannabees…
Left in ruins after Peter Gabriel split.
This is all they could come up with haha
Genesis HOME BY THE SEA (Parts 1 & 2)
that was awful.
i'll make it up to you here.
the boys at dfa outdo themselves with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
i'm gonna put my stink over your stink, get that SWEET stink :)
Blues Explosion MARS ARIZONA (dfa remix)
I used to love Sasha in the 90s.
Before you lollerskate away...read on.
His early shit was way ahead of it's time.
Then he started to overproduce everything.
His 12minute epic vomitous maximus trax became unbearable.
Recently, he reeled is way back, and started working with great bands.
Here's an epic ride in a Buick Grand National™.
So talk amongst yourselves while i try to figure it out.
Grand National TALK AMONGST YOURSELVES (Sasha Remix)
and last but not least, what can you say about slowdive?
Jeremy Shaw's DMT book projects in my minds eye.
This one because for a couple seconds last night i saw Dawn at the Club.
She is in said book, on said substance, listening to said band.
Drift away...
Slowdive RUTTI
