I am not generally a political person, I vote, but don't get too involved. I try to stay current on what is going on and like to be able to hold my own when a heated political convo crosses the table as I'm out for dinner with friends. I have to admit, I am more drawn to American politics than Canadian simply because the constituants and the races attract such media attention and even up here in Canada you can't flip two channels without seeing some form of political propaganda. I must say this American election is gearing up to be yet another blockbuster that will leave most Yanks eager to cast their ballot for the next American Idol, I mean, Dance Crew, rather, Pussycat Doll, sorry, Top Model, no hold on..... President, that's the one.
On a more serious tip, it is known that specific moments in time can create change. On this day in 1963 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his famous "I Have a Dream" speech at a civil rights rally in Washington, DC which a few more than 200,000 people attended.
